It's funny... I first picked up the book a few years after it was published (to great acclaim). But it didn't grab me and I put it aside. Then, years and years later, I picked it up and was hooked. It was a lesson for me: sometimes it's just not the right time for a book.
I've read three of the books on your list. Jonathan Strange was such an unusual book (those footnotes!), The Little Stranger was excellent, and The Only Good Indians was incredible. I'm a huge fan of Native American stories so I'm happy to see it made the cut. ❤️
